Davis Islands is a Tampa neighborhood under the zip code of 33606, located to the south of Downtown and to the east of Hyde Park and Bayshore Blvd.

Originally planned by David P. Davis during the building boom of the early 1920’s, Davis Island was to be the “quintessential 1920s Florida real estate development”.
The Palace of Florence is one of original Davis Island buildings still standing today!
The original plans included a golf course, hotels, apartments, canals and parks and a business district, for which most projects planned where completed. “The vast majority of the buildings and amenities that Davis planned and his company, or Davis Islands, Inc., completed are still standing and have received national Historic Designation.

In addition to the architecture and views, Davis Island also offers waterfront tennis at the Sandra W. Freedman Tennis Complex and is home to the renowned Davis Island Yatch Club. For those with a green thumb the Island’s historic Garden Club has been in bloom since the 1936.

Davis Island Dog Park & Beach!
For hot Florida summer days, Davis Island’s impressive Dog Park has a 200-foot stretch of beach for dogs to swim and play in, in addition the fenced-in grassy play lawn common to most parks.

The dog park is part of Seaplane Basin Park, a park nestled below the Peter O. Knight Airport. Each April the Park and Peter O. Knight Airport, join forces in playing host to Islands Fest.
